Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of maett.com and any related services we provide (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by the maett.com team (“maett”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at andreas.enemyr@gmail.com.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to processing of personal data in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and any API keys you generate secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep that information up to date.

3. The Service

maett.com lets you connect third-party fitness and wellness providers (such as Garmin, Oura, and Strava), synchronize the data those providers expose, and access it through our application, API, and integrations.

We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice for material changes that affect you.

4. Connected accounts and third-party providers

When you connect a third-party provider, you authorize us to access and process the data that provider makes available through its API on your behalf. Your use of those providers remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of third-party services.

You may disconnect a provider or delete your account at any time. When you do, we stop syncing new data from that provider and remove your previously synced data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Plans, billing, and rate limits

The Service may be offered on free and paid plans. Paid plans, sync frequencies, API quotas, and other usage limits are described on our pricing pages and may change. If you upgrade, downgrade, or cancel a paid plan, the change takes effect according to the terms shown at the time of purchase.

You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to violate any law, infringe anyone’s rights, or process data you are not authorized to process;
  • attempt to access another user’s account, data, or API keys, or to deanonymize pseudonymized data;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, including bypassing rate limits, scraping at scale, or probing for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure;
  • resell, sublicense, or expose the Service or third-party provider data to others except as the Service expressly permits;
  • use the Service to make medical, diagnostic, or treatment decisions. The Service is informational and is not a medical device.

7. Your content and data

You retain all rights to the data you connect or upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that data solely to provide and improve the Service for you. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use the contents of your fitness data to train third-party models.

How we store, encrypt, and pseudonymize your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. API keys and integrations

API keys you create are scoped to your account. Treat them like passwords. You are responsible for actions taken with your keys, and you must rotate or revoke any key you suspect has been exposed.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by maett or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from within the application. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and its users. We will give reasonable notice where practical.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data synced from third-party providers will be complete or accurate.

maett.com is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always consult a qualified professional for medical decisions.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, maett and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless maett from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Sweden have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service, except that consumers may rely on mandatory protections of the law of their country of residence.
